Glad you're here. On this page I'll tell you a bit more about who's behind TravelGuideByIsabel and why I started this blog in the first place.
Travel was never just a holiday for me, it was always the moment I felt most alive. At some point I realized I was spending hours planning routes, comparing accommodation, and writing tips for friends before they flew off anyway. TravelGuideByIsabel grew out of exactly that: the urge to share everything I'd learned and experienced with more people than just my circle of friends.
I've experienced myself how frustrating it is to stand disappointed in front of a hotel or restaurant after reading a glossed-over blog post or Instagram photo. That's why you won't find paid ad copy here, just my honest opinion, even when it's critical. If I recommend a place to stay, it's because I've been there myself and found it genuinely good, not because someone paid for it.
I don't believe you have to choose between backpacking and luxury travel. Sometimes I've traveled through Southeast Asia on a tight budget, other times I've treated myself to a special sundowner in the Seychelles. Both have their appeal, and that's exactly the range I want to show you here, so you can find the right inspiration for your own travel style.
On TravelGuideByIsabel you'll find real trip routes I've traveled myself, honest hotel and restaurant tips, and practical info on getting there, budgeting, and the small things you only notice once you're on the ground.
